My beloved blue pigeon! On my way rising to the cloudy dark sky... To take a star..   I got the wings but could not be stretched  among the wet heavy clouds.... The burning stars  and the sorrowed shadow which were falling apart...  Asked, "Still going to the stars ?..." Why not..,, cause I was the one who ended up the burning destiny.. And tasted a light full of bliss before the desires scattering away..   When that new dawn carried away all the exhausted soul  Your beloved sight droped on my stretched wings.. So...come back to the place, where our colours borned...

  Final part Will I go back? Now we are back home.Mom came and hugged me tightly.But didn't say anything.when I arrived, the home was completely a mess. And they might had a contact with the Neons.And the Neons' valley would be a keypoint of that mysterious civilization.   Part 08       Come back home                          Dad left the cave and came back to the spaceship without giving any sign about the cave to others.A day after, they left the planet.                               On 29th July of 2012, we were looking forward for a news of a safe landing of the spaceship.But that day was the worst day of my life.  We got the news of explosion of the spaceship.Because of an unexpected technical issue, the aircraft exploded. It was very hard time for me and my mom.  However, I took the knife, the diary and a fallen feather.And decided to go back home before I get caught to the strangers. So I said good bye to my friends and got on to Olion.And I slowly removed a feather from Olion while apologizing. See you in final part... Thank you...

  Part 07 Secrets Then I read about how he came with the big friend to thier secret place.And he had written all secrets about Neons. Neons have an ability to be invisible in a threat.          Now here is the secret of feathers. Their feathers naturally fall off and nothing happens.But if they removed before falling naturally, they burn itselves.Then it happens as I told before.   So that was how  last time dad came home on my birthday and showed me that whistle knife.  Further more, he mensioned that he found a book from there.But he couldn't read it.Because he didn't know the language.  But he had guessed something according to some sketches in the book.He thought that it may be about an ancient civilization.   Part 06 Dad's diary According to dad's diary it was 26th June of 2012. And the landing on Orion was safe.There were four people in the mission. Then they had to explore the planet and inform to their headquarter.The planet was almost same as the Earth.But the problem was the creatures on it.They were so mysterious.              Dad had written that they had planned to stay there for three days. They devided to four directions to explore the area.        Few miles afar from the spaceship, he had met the bamboo forest where I was dropped.And he felt like something sniffed him.                        Yes, he had the same experience as mine.But it was not friendly.He got a kick and fell aside.And the big animal had disappeared suddenly.                 Few minutes later the big one appeared again.But dad was not distracted at that ...

  Part 05 Whistle I opened the box by using the knife.Then I found a diary from it.The year 2012 was embosed on the cover.I quickly turned the cover.                           And a photocard was in it. I got tears after seeing it.It was a photo of mine taken before my dad passed away. Now I remember. "The crossed wings knife; The last time dad came home for my birthday,on 28th of June 2012, he show me this small knife.It can partition. When the blade removed, it is a whistle.                                                                               Dad told me that he used it to call someone.   Part 04 Inside the cave After the strangers' incident, I tried to come out of the cave.There was a hole in the middle of the cave, so I had to step carefully. But my fate was rude then and I slipped into the cave. Now I am falling...falling...falling.. "I am going to die now" I thought.  I was falling for a few seconds becuase  the cave was as deep as hell.I closed my eyes.               At the end I felt I was bumped onto something.Yeah! Olion got me. Other Neons were all there.                         They all looked Neon Purple in the dark deep cave.It seemed like a secret place they have, for their protection.     Then I took a look, at the things arround.There were two cubs of Neons.Looking further,on another side there was a box.It was made from bamboo wood. I searched for a key to unlock it,I failed.             But I found a...

  Part 03 Strangers I was dreaming of food when I heard the roars of Neons'. (Neons mean the clan of Olion; because of glowing in neon purple; I called them Neons. ) I woke up and it was  completely a mess.I felt that something strange is going to happen. Then Olion grabbed me and brought into the three rocks cave.I looked out of the cave and I could see a big spot light searching here and there. Few seconds later two strangers apeared there.I hid in the rock and looked at it. The strangers collected some Neons' feathers. While looking further,I saw the strangers clearly.  What a surprise! They were human. I couldn't believe it.How had they come here?.. They focused their lights through the lake.But the light did not come into the cave.So the cave seemed completely dark for them. And it was a crazy silence there. I thought "yeah!This whole world is crazy." Few minutes later the two humans desappeared with collected feathers. W h at happened next?  I will tell them...

Part 02         Olion's family meeting            Then Olion spreaded its wings and I got on to its back.Now we are flying over the bamboo forest.After passing bamboo forest we arrived to a valley. Wow..there were Olion's family.Olion flew several rounds around the valley and landed.                          I was so afraid and hid in Olion's wings.But it was not enough.I closed my eyes.I felt their hot breaths and Its relatives came and sniffed me. But there was not any kick up, fortunately. Then I slowly got down..but I felt some hotness behind me..I turned, and a big head full of feathers, pushed me and I leaned on Olion.                     So it was a security scan.They knew I am not a threat.Then Olion lead me to a lake down there.The water was also green and looked so deep. This is a fiction written by me.And I will present it by several posts. Hope you will enjoy the story.. In this post I'll bring the first part. The Neonbright Valley Part 01  I was  watching news. ".....After 10 years of the tragedy, They announced that the mission was relaunched..and the spaceship was sucessfully landed on Orion."  Then mom shouted me to switch off the tv because it was going to rain. I have been living with my mom since the day my dad passed away, 10 years ago from that tragedy mensioned in news. It was heavily raining and thundering in the evening.And suddenly the light went out; and it is normal in my area.So I was looking outside by the window with my pet;"Olion".  I have to say a special thing about  Olion.It is only visible in dark.So it looks neon purple in darkness. ( Neon colors are bright colors that appear to glow with intensity ).  Actually it's so complicated to describe its appearance.So here is a drawing of it. I couldn't...

This is my object drawing I did on our painting practice session. After the day I was looking for the shortcomings in it.Then I saw something funny in this. You see the half part of coconut and the piece of cloth.I saw the two objects together like this. "The half of coconut is a head, piece of cloth is shaped as a body of a sitting man.So the man is leaning against the book and keeping his head on the book.And he is looking at the sanitizer bottle."  Then I edited the photo and put eyes on the head like this.😅 So looking in this,reminds me ourselves these days.We are in the same situation like this "Pol  bā mūna." Isn't it? We have to lean against the books and just look forward. I didn't arrange the objects purposely thinking about this.But at the end I randomly saw it.   This is another painting I love the most.It was done in January this year.I did this for my sir who taught me in A/L s. He is one of the most valuable persons in my life.So he asked me for a painting to his home. He said that he  likes traditional themes. So I painted this one. This is 3 feets in height and 2 feets in width.So I took two weeks for doing this. I am used to paint in watercolour, so it's a little bit hard for me to paint in opeque style.But I tried to do my best for this painting.So here is the result. While doing this painting my best friends Hirushi and Sakila gave me lot of advices to make it better.So I'm so greatful to them. After finishing this I handed it to my sir.He was so happy then. I feel so excited to see this painting in such a beautiful place like sir's home.

  When I had holidays I used to go to the school where my mother worked. And I visited every class with her. When I was in grade two one day, in one class I visited, there was a boy who gives a bunch of water lilies to my mom every day.💐💐And he calls my mom as his "mom".As I remember the boy was Chalana. So the first day I met him I was mad and argued with him saying that not to call my mom as his mom. But my mom stopped me and continued to the morning lesson.  After school, we were on our way back to home.I was still blaming to that boy about calling my mom as his "mom". But then my mother told me not to be mad at him.And I asked why.She told me "His mother had left him, so don't worry if he calls me mom.He is a good boy as you." I felt sorry for him and I never argued with him again. After 14 years, recently I went to a childrens' house(orphanage) to teach Art.There were about twenty kids. While I was teaching, one child who is seven years old,...

After doing sketches, sometimes I write poem lines related to them in Sinhala...So this is one of them which was written for this drawing. I translated it into English .. Trapped in moonlight "For the hidden heart in winter, there was a fire.. And a shadow of a sword, that showered the rainy darkness with the moonlight.... Among the stories  which have come and go without saying... The guardian of the brush, that trapped in the moonlight..." I imagined this man as an artist.And I believe when artists take their brush, the brush become alive.So artist is the guardian of the brush who gives a legendary life to the brush. When we are struggling between the light and dark,moonlight is a precious light for there.There's not too much light or too much darkness.So I  think it is a perfect time to take the brush. So feel the love you have to your brush when you trapped in the moonlight.
